Exhibition: Femininity vs Idealization. Fine art.

The piece is called: Femininity vs Idealization and I am glad to be a part of the group Exhibition in The Holy Art Gallery, London.

Are you familiar with the term ‘Instagram body’? Many of us have felt shame for not fitting into this beauty standard. I’m no exception.

I have wide hips and narrow shoulders. During my teenage years, this caused a lot of insecurities, especially when the trend was to have skinny hips and weigh 40 kg, and the Kim Kardashian body type trend hadn’t started yet. Have you experienced something similar?

This piece reflections led me to create a piece focusing on the underrated aspects of the female body. I’ve exaggerated the proportions of body parts that, in my opinion, deserve more attention and love.

The piece is complemented with inscriptions and doodles, which initiate a parallel dialogue with the author about drawing techniques: do you prefer figurative or chaos? I added it as an addition to the main theme as an experiment with form and elements of expression.

The painting is enhanced with a layer of AR animation, which was created using AI.

The group exhibition's display was executed using connected screens, and my painting was broadcast on each of them in turn.
